A unique opportunity to engage in training and learning with one of Irelands top CBT therapists.

This course is designed to equip helping professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to incorporate Cognitive Behaviour Therapy into their practice. You will learn to observe, assess, evaluate, and formulate treatment using the client’s environmental influencers as well as their thoughts, moods and emotions, and behaviour. The approaches presented are usable, up-to-date and strongly evidence-based.

Eoin Stephens, M.A. (Counselling), Dip.Couns., B.A. (Psychology), MIACP, MIAAAC 

Eoin is one of Ireland’s leading Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and trainers, and has been working in the area of mental health and therapy for more than 25 years. He is currently President of PCI College, Director of CBT Solutions therapy centre and the Centre for Sexual Addictions, and winner of the 2010 Carl Berkeley award presented by the IACP. He is a former Vice-Chairperson of the IACP and the IAAAC.

Entry Requirements

  • Qualification in Counselling, Psychotherapy or other helping professionals.
  • Students currently in training will be considered, on the understanding that the Certificate qualification cannot be used until they have qualified.


About the Programme

  • This 30 hour programme consists of five one-day workshops, each of 6 hours duration.Workshops can be taken individually, and/or combined to make up the requirements for the Certificate Course.
  • This certificate course is designed to equip helping professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to incorporate Cognitive Behaviour Therapy into their practice. The Process

Prior to participants involvement in Day 5 the Integration Day Participants will be required to provide evidence of completion of 20 hours supervised relevant client work, and submit a 2,500 word essay on a topic relating to CBT. The Integration Day will solidify learning and provide an opportunity for case discussion and supervision.  The Certificate Course is €780 (Including Day 5 Integration Day).
                                       

Additional Course Requirements (Before Integration Day)

Record of 20 hours supervised client work in the area of CBT (Minimum 3 hours of Supervision).Completion of  2,500-word essay on a topic related to CBT

Leading to the Award of :PCI College Professional  Certificate in CBT Counselling
