Eoin Stephens MA, MIACP, MIAAAC:

Eoin is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who has worked in the area of mental health and therapy for more than 25 years. He is currently President of PCI College, a Director of CBT Solutions therapy centre in Dublin West, and a Director of the Centre for Sexual Addictions. 

Eoin is well known for his therapy, training and media work in the field of addictive behaviours, and has a particular interest in the relationship between addictions and mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.

Declan Fitzpatrick MIACP:
Declan is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who has worked in private practice since 2006. He is currently Director of CBT Renewaltherapy centre in Lucan, Co. Dublin and a Director of the Centre for Sexual Addictions.  He has a particular interest in the area of addiction and has trained at the Rutland Addiction Treatment Centre.

Duration: 30 Hour programme presented in 5 modules, each of 6 hour duration.
Venue: PCI College, Corrig House, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

Introduction to Sexual Addictions
Course participants will gain practical knowledge about the persistent and escalating patterns of sexual behaviours that are associated with sexual addiction.

Trainees will be introduced to the main trusted theoretical frameworks and approaches employed in the area of sexual addiction.

Long-term Recovery Issues
Participants are introduced to some of the main issues which recovering sex addicts may face in ongoing recovery.

Family issues
Recovery issues within families and close relationships are explored in more depth.

Additional Course Requirements (before Integration Day)
Record of 20 hours supervised client work in the area of Sexual Addiction (Minimum 3 hours of Supervision)
Completion of  2,500-word essay on a topic related to Sexual Addiction

Entry Requirements

Applicants will ideally have a  qualification in Counselling, Psychotherapy, Psychology or another helping profession.  Students currently in training will be considered, on the understanding that the Certificate qualification cannot be used until they have professionally qualified.

Participants who do not meet entry requirements will be withdrawn from the course. Please ensure than one of the following two satements are true before enrolling:
    * I have a professional qualification in Counselling, Psychotherapy, or similar.
    * I am a student of counselling and psychotherapy (or similar) and I understand that I may not use the Certificate qualification until I have qualified.

     
The Process
Along with completing the Integration Day,Participants will be required to submit a 2,500-word essay on a topic relating to sexual addiction. The Certificate Course is €780 (Including Day 5– Integration Day).  Students who complete the clinical work and written assignment will be awarded a PCI College Certificate in Sexual Addiction Counselling.
